Truman Capote's A Christmas Memory--Two Ways

Truman Capote

One group of members attended a performance of Capote's A Christmas Memory by the Tapestry Players at St. Luke's Methodist Church on Sunday, December 5th, at 2:30 p.m. A second group met on for the general meeting on Thursday, Dec. 16th, at 1 p.m. Participant volunteers read a page each from Capote's original short story. This will be the third annual reading of this holiday story. Our "letters to Santa" include a plea for a full performance soon of ARRUF member Sam Jones's original opera, which Truman Capote authorized him to write, based on his story. Sam was the first dean of the Shepherd School of Music.
