Who is eligible to publish a profile? Answer: ARRUF members and associate members. Faculty of all ranks who have worked at Rice University for at least ten years and whose age and years of service equal 65 or more are automatically members of ARRUF. Spouses and partners of members are automatically associate members, even if the principal member is deceased. Faculty members who are participating in the staged retirement program are associate members until they fully retire, at which point they become members. Associate members may participate in the Association’s activities and committees but may not vote.

Part of being in a community is recalling the rich history of friendships and endeavors that made us who we are. Members are invited to submit remembrances of former colleagues. Remembrances are personal reflections, not a formal obituary (which, like a CV, might run to dozens of pages). Links to University obituaries will be added.
